I own a 1954 MG-TF and find that the clutch is really aggressive when pulling away in first gear. The difference between the gearbox being disengaged and engaged is a matter of a few millimeters! Can anyone suggest the problem? I have experienced something similar with my MG and it turned out that there was a slight misalignment with the gearbox. I think it's an engine out job and will be quite expensive!
